MAKE A COMPLAINT TO THE OFFICE OF JUVENILE SYSTEM OVERSIGHT The Office of Juvenile System Oversight (OJSO) of the Oklahoma Commission on Children and Youth (OCCY), has "the responsibility of investigating and reporting misfeasance and malfeasance within the children and youth service system, inquiring into areas of concern, investigating complaints filed with the Office of Juvenile System Oversight and monitoring the children and youth service system to ascertain compliance with established responsibilities." (10 Okl.St.Ann. § 601.6) CONFIDENTIALITY: The Oklahoma Statutes protect the identity of individuals reporting complaints to the OJSO. Information that would identify an individual making a complaint is not to be released, "unless a court of competent jurisdiction orders release of the information for good cause shown." The OJSO has authority to access confidential information in the conduct of investigations, however, we may not be able to provide details of the investigation to complainants. We may only be able provide feedback to the complainant that violations were confirmed and reported or were not confirmed.
